High-quality real estate headshots are an essential marketing asset for any agent. In digital marketing, the headshot is often the first time your prospects, leads, and clients will see your face. Therefore, a professional and polished photo representing who you are and what you stand for is a must. It’s part of your personal branding and you wouldn’t do a hand drawn logo on your marketing would you?

Examples of poor headshots

A good real estate headshot seems pretty straightforward, but there’s more to it than that. A big smile with a slight head tilt says, “I’m relatable and trustworthy.” A straight-on gaze with a slight smirk says, “I’m excellent at my job.” A sideways glance with a laughing smile says, “I’m fun and approachable.” A serious face with a slight tilt to the side says, “I hear you, I see you, and I understand.” We typically recommend a business casual look for a professional, yet approachable, look for your headshot. What’s important is that you feel comfortable and confident in whatever you’re wearing.
